About Our WIC Program

A vital community resource helping families grow healthy.

About Us

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a state-funded initiative that fosters healthy pregnancies, optimal birth outcomes, and robust child development.

For over 30 years, the WIC program at Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) has been a cornerstone of support, empowering families with access to nutritious food benefits, expert breastfeeding assistance, and comprehensive nutrition education.

In 2023 alone, we proudly served over 115,000 participants, ensuring they received the vital benefits they needed to thrive.

We’re hiring!

PPOSBC WIC is seeking compassionate individuals looking to make a difference in their community. We’re hiring for a number of positions including Nutritionist, Nutrition Aide, and Breast Feeding Peer Counselor.

Showing Up for Our Community

We understand that raising a healthy, happy family requires more than just nutrition support. That’s why we strive to create meaningful connections with our participants through various initiatives.

Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds

Last year, our Books 4 Kids program delivered 6,000 books to WIC families, promoting literacy and a love for reading.

Holiday Spirit

Each year, we reach out to our participants to find out how we can make their holiday season a bit brighter. PPOSBC and WIC staff work together to find the perfect gifts for nearly 50 families, spreading joy and cheer.

Family Planning +  WIC

Deciding when and if you want children, and ensuring they grow up healthy and strong, are deeply interconnected decisions.

At WIC of Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties, we empower individuals by providing seamless access to family planning health care services at our local Planned Parenthood health centers.

Our dedicated staff not only assist with family planning but also ensure that patients can easily access the comprehensive WIC benefits they need to nurture their families.
